Carline Mufflers National Super Sedan Series organisers are very pleased to announce the continued support of Monroe Shock Absorbers for the 2011/2012 season
Having sponsored the opening round of the 2010/2011 series, Monroe Shock Absorbers have upped the ante this season with the introduction of the Monroe Pole Position Award at every round of the 2011/2012 championship.
The Monroe Pole Position Award will see the highest pointscorer from qualifying at each round of the series collect a $150 cash bonus courtesy of Monroe Shock Absorbers. With an extra $150 up for grabs, in addition to the right to start the feature race from pole position, qualifying will be more important than ever.Â
Founded by August F. Meyer in Monroe, Michigan in 1916 as the Brisk Blast Manufacturing Company, the business began life as a manufacturer of tyre pumps to cater to the fledgling automotive industry.  With rapid growth and expansion – sales climbed to over 5 000 per week – and a partnership formed with local auto dealer Charles Meyer in 1918, the Monroe Auto Equipment Company was born.
In 1928, the first Monroe shock eliminator was introduced and within 25 years the Monroe-Matic – the first double action shock absorber – was being used by most American auto manufacturers. The company went international in 1964 and soon became renowned as the world leader in both original equipment and aftermarket ride control, a reputation that remains today. In 1980, Monroe began manufacturing its first struts and soon thereafter produced its first gas charged shock absorber. Since then, groundbreaking products such as Sensa-Trac, Reflex, Gas Magnum TDT and GT Sport have been developed, cementing Monroe’s position as the global leader in ride control.Â
The continued support from Monroe is fantastic for the Carline Mufflers National Super Sedan Series as Monroe is an iconic brand and the leading authority on shock absorber technology. Monroe manufactures shock absorbers that suit the vast majority of vehicle types, providing safety and control for vehicles on, and off, our roads. In fact, more Australian motorists use Monroe shock absorbers today than any other brand.
The Monroe Pole Position Award is the latest in a range of new awards and incentives that will be on offer at Carline NSSS events this season for contracted and non-contracted drivers alike, with further announcements coming in the weeks ahead.
