Monroe presents the 2017 AAA Expo

Monroe Australia is once again the major sponsor of the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Expo (AAA Expo) being held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre from April 6 to 8, 2017. This is the fourth consecutive AAA Expo to be presented by Monroe Australia, continuing a mutually successful marketing alliance with the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association (AAAA) that has seen this biennial trade fair grow substantially since 2011.

More than 1,000,000km on Monroe!

We know Monroe is one in a million, and now one tonne ute owner, Dave Mitchell, has proof. A retired heavy-duty drainage contractor, Dave knows his way around trucks. Having registered his Holden one tonner on February 16, 1978, Dave’s ute was fitted with Monroe shock absorbers. Given most Australian cars at the time were fitted with our shocks, they were classified as Original Equipment.

Founded in 1916 in Monroe, (Michigan, USA), by mechanic and entrepreneur August F. Meyer, the business that eventually became Monroe Auto Equipment Company initially manufactured tyre pumps for the owners of early automobiles.

After a fun and restful off-season with the family, starting the new year with the number 1 plate on the car felt great. Despite our strong pre-season testing, I endured a number of set-up challenges at the hot, wet and wild Clipsal 500 that kicked the season off in Adelaide.
